Pooled eastern oyster hemolymph from a mixture of selectively bred families (VIMS) was challenged in triplicate with filtered sterile seawater (FSSW) (control), Perkinsus marinus (1:1 MOI with hemocyte concentration) for 1hr, P. marinus (1:1) for 1hr following a 3hr incubation with the IAP inhibitor GDC-0152, or P. marinus (1:1) for 1hr following a 1hr incubation with the caspase inhibitor Z-VAD-FMK. Samples were flash frozen with liquid nitrogen after 1hr of challenge and stored at -80C prior to RNA extraction. RNA was extracted from hemocyte samples using a Trizol protocol and sequenced at a depth of 15-20 million reads per sample (12 samples total).
It is recommended to cite the accession numbers that are assigned to data submissions, e.g. the GenBank, WGS or SRA accession numbers. If individual BioProjects need to be referenced, state that "The data have been deposited with links to BioProject accession number PRJNA769054 in the NCBI BioProject database (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/bioproject/)."
