The draft genome sequence of an isolate of Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus from a mandarin tree in Coorg, South India is reported here. The draft genome has a total length of 1,207,426 bp, with a G+C content of 36.3%. It aligns more than 99% with the Ishi and JXGC genomes. The whole draft genome includes 1040 predicted open reading frames (ORFs) and 41 RNA coding genes. This is the first genome publicly available for an HLB isolate originated from India.
It is recommended to cite the accession numbers that are assigned to data submissions, e.g. the GenBank, WGS or SRA accession numbers. If individual BioProjects need to be referenced, state that "The data have been deposited with links to BioProject accession number PRJNA753834 in the NCBI BioProject database (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/bioproject/)."
