'HoneySweet' is a transgenic plum carrying a gene for the coat protein of plum pox potyvirus as well as other transgenes. The inclusion of the coat protein gene and its arrangement in the plum genome confers a high degree of resistance to plum pox potyvirus through an RNAi mediated response. The goal of the study is to determine the structure of the insertion of the transgenes and potential effect on the whole plum genome.
