The Department of Energy (DOE) Joint Genome Institute (JGI), in collaboration with the USDA - Agricultural Research Service and Plant Research International, sequenced the Mycosphaerella graminicola strain IPO323 genome at 8.9X coverage using whole genome shotgun (WGS) sequencing. The genome was annotated using both automated and manual methods. The M. graminicola genome is being finished at the Stanford Human Genome Center (SHGC). The M. graminicola isolate IPO323 is a Dutch field strain that was isolated in 1984 from the wheat cultivar Arminda.
It is recommended to cite the accession numbers that are assigned to data submissions, e.g. the GenBank, WGS or SRA accession numbers. If individual BioProjects need to be referenced, state that "The data have been deposited with links to BioProject accession number PRJNA19047 in the NCBI BioProject database (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/bioproject/)."
