Vitis rotundifolia cultivar:Noble Genome sequencing

dataset
posted on 2024-06-11, 06:41 authored by Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University
To establish the basis for the study of Muscadinia species, we generated chromosome-level whole-genome sequences of V. rotundifolia. A total of 393.8 Mb of 20 haploid chromosome sequences was assembled, and a total of 26,394 coding genes were identified from the sequences. The comparative analysis with the genome sequence of V. vinifera revealed smaller size of V. rotundifolia genome due to the differential activity of LTR-retrotransposons.
