Arbroviruses are viruses that are transmitted by arthropods. This class of viruses have evolved to successfully navigate both the invertebrate and vertebrate hosts, including their immune systems. Some biting midges transmit several arboviruses, including vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV). This project utilizes one biting midges, Culicoides sonorensis, cells, (i.e. W8 cell line), running a time series RNA-seq experiment of both VSV infected and uninfected cells.
It is recommended to cite the accession numbers that are assigned to data submissions, e.g. the GenBank, WGS or SRA accession numbers. If individual BioProjects need to be referenced, state that "The data have been deposited with links to BioProject accession number PRJNA1018134 in the NCBI BioProject database (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/bioproject/)."
