DNA sequences from Vanessa tameamea (Kamehameha butterfly) and closely related species. DNA was derived from adult butterflies, used to generate a ddRAD library using enzymes NlaIII and MluCI, and sequenced on an Illumina HiSeq 2500. The purpose of this project was to perform a population genetic and phylogenetic analysis comparing V. tameamea that were collected from neighboring islands and comparing V. tameamea with V. atalanta, V. cardui, V. indica, and V. virginiensis.
