USDA Developing Computational Tools To Identify Critical Control Points For Mitigating The Spread Of Antibiotic Resistance In Agro-Ecosystems

The objective of this project is are to identify critical control points for preventing the spread of antibiotic resistance from manure to produce. Metagenomic samples have been collected of manure collected from cows and steers dosed with antibiotics, compost at the small and full scale of the manure, soil microcosms, field scale soils and vegetables grown in these soils.
