Tall fescue (Lolium arundinaceum) clones harboring different non-ergot producing fungal endophyte, Epichloe coenophiala strains were sequenced to characterize the endophyte transcriptome. One experiment was done in the field comparing expression of NTE04-11 in the field under ambient conditions and the under increased heat and altered precipitation regime. All other sequences were derived from single (non-replicated) plants grown in the greenhouse harboring different non-ergot producing endophyte strains as labeled in the sequence name. All endophyte strains were inoculated into the KY31 cultivar.
It is recommended to cite the accession numbers that are assigned to data submissions, e.g. the GenBank, WGS or SRA accession numbers. If individual BioProjects need to be referenced, state that "The data have been deposited with links to BioProject accession number PRJNA1111589 in the NCBI BioProject database (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/bioproject/)."
