This study sequences mRNAs and small RNAs derived from serum, blood, liver, palatine tonsil, bronchial and retropharyngeal lymph nodes of twenty 8-week-old calves. The animals were challenged with wild type Pasteurella multocida (P1062) and three mutants (fhaB, hyaE, and nanP) produced by disruption one of the three genes to evaluate if the mutants can be used as potential live vaccine candidates.
