Transcirptome Analysis of rmtA in Aspergillus flavus

dataset
posted on 2024-01-26, 23:47 authored by Northern Illinois University
Sequencing of the rmtA-dependent transcriptome in the opportunistic plant pathogen Aspergillus flauvs. Aspergillus flavus is known to infect important oil seed crops(i.e. maize) and contaminate them with deadly mycotoxins like Aflatoxin. Previously the gene rmtA, which encodes for a arginine methyltransferase which modifies histones, was shown to regulate morphological development and secondary metabolism in the agriculturally important pathogen. This study hopes to find new targets and insights on how to regulate this fungus.
