Streptomyces hawaiiensis is a soil isolate that produces acyldepsipeptides (ADEPs), a special class of antibiotics that stimulate the ClpP, causing uncontrolled proteolysis that inhibits of bacterial cell division and eventually leading to bacterial cell death. Here, we sought to sequence the complete genome [>8-Mb] of Streptomyces hawaiiensis NRRL 15010 to help provide insight into ADEPs biosynthesis and predict further secondary metabolites that this organism harbors.
It is recommended to cite the accession numbers that are assigned to data submissions, e.g. the GenBank, WGS or SRA accession numbers. If individual BioProjects need to be referenced, state that "The data have been deposited with links to BioProject accession number PRJNA390567 in the NCBI BioProject database (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/bioproject/)."
