Stenocarpella maydis is one of the most important ear rot pathogens, able to cause severe yield losses. The goal of this study was to obtain the first draft genome assembly of S. maydis, and to perform comparative genomic analyses with other predominant ear rot pathogens.
It is recommended to cite the accession numbers that are assigned to data submissions, e.g. the GenBank, WGS or SRA accession numbers. If individual BioProjects need to be referenced, state that "The data have been deposited with links to BioProject accession number PRJNA397884 in the NCBI BioProject database (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/bioproject/)."
