Staphylococcus saprophyticus is a common contaminant in meat and poultry, and causes urinary tract infections. Staphylococcus saprophyticus ATCC 49453 is a quality control strain for API microorganism identification test. The use of this strain will help confirm that the test procedures and materials used to identify Staphylococcus in food samples are accurate. Here, we report the draft genomic sequence of Staphylococcus saprophyticus ATCC 49453.
It is recommended to cite the accession numbers that are assigned to data submissions, e.g. the GenBank, WGS or SRA accession numbers.
