A novel BSD domain-containing transcription factor was found to control vegetative growth, leaf senescence and fruit quality in tomato. Leaf tissues from Solanum lycopersicum cv. Ailsa Craig with BSD1 knocked down were examined to determine the role of BSD1 in plant growth and development.
