This study demonstrates the potential of whole-genome sequencing for rapid detection and characterisation of etiologic agents found in clinical samples. We were able to detect and characterize Ornithobacterium rhinotracheale in tracheal swab collected from chicken. Furtheremore, a novel N4-like Prophage was recovered from sequencing set.
It is recommended to cite the accession numbers that are assigned to data submissions, e.g. the GenBank, WGS or SRA accession numbers. If individual BioProjects need to be referenced, state that "The data have been deposited with links to BioProject accession number PRJNA557334 in the NCBI BioProject database (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/bioproject/)."
