Plant seeds are home to diverse microbes. We investigated the barley seed endophytic microbial communities of recommended barley genotypes grown in different locations and associated them with malt quality traits. We uncovered interesting insights that enhanced our understanding of barley seed microbial diversity and its concomitant effects on malting quality and crop health.
It is recommended to cite the accession numbers that are assigned to data submissions, e.g. the GenBank, WGS or SRA accession numbers. If individual BioProjects need to be referenced, state that "The data have been deposited with links to BioProject accession number PRJNA1108745 in the NCBI BioProject database (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/bioproject/)."
