Saccharopolyspora spinosa NRRL18395 is a wild-type producer of spinosad. The spinosyns are mmembers of a new class of polyketide-derived macrolides effective against a broad range of insect pests.The genome uploaded this time represents the latest sequenced whole genome sequence.
