Few studies examine rhizosphere bacteria from small amounts (low biomass) of root material. We varied the quantity of grass (Festuca rubra) and grapevine (Vitis spp. rootstock 101-14 Mgt.) absorptive roots (1st branching order), used a sonic water bath to remove rhizosphere soil, extracted DNA from the solution and performed high-throughput sequencing of the 16S rRNA gene region.
It is recommended to cite the accession numbers that are assigned to data submissions, e.g. the GenBank, WGS or SRA accession numbers. If individual BioProjects need to be referenced, state that "The data have been deposited with links to BioProject accession number PRJNA615973 in the NCBI BioProject database (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/bioproject/)."
