RNA Feed Efficiency & Mechanisms of Muscle Growth

dataset

Linking rumen microbial metabolism to feed efficiency and muscle-growth pathways in the host, suggesting that differences in microbial activity or metabolite output may be associated with variation in muscle gene expression. Thus, RNA-seq of muscle can capture which growth pathways are up- or down-regulated in cattle with differing rumen microbial profiles or feed efficiencies.
