Pseudomonas fluorescens WH6 was the first bacterial strain documented to produce the secondary metabolite 4-formylaminooxyvinylglycine (FVG). The gvg operon is required for production of FVG. A previous study identified mutations in the WH6 genome that lead to a decrease in transcription of genes in the gvg operon. In this study, we compared the transcriptome of putative regulatory mutants to wild type WH6 in an effort to better understand the regulation of FVG production.
