Age-synchronized biotype 1 and 2 aphids were allowed to feed on wheat cultivars containing Dn0 and Dn4 resistance genes for 24 hours for a total of four different treatments: biotype 1 on Dn0 and Dn4 plants and biotype 2 on Dn0 and Dn4 plants. After aphids in each treatment had fed for 24h, groups of 30 aphids were collected from each of the three biological replicates of each treatment group, randomly pooled to account for variation in rearing conditions. Approximately 40 million reads were generated from each sample using an Illumina NovaSeq.
