A severe outbreak of bacterial speck of tomato, caused by Pseudomonas syringae pv. tomato occurred in central New York in 2009. An isolate collected from this outbreak, NYS-T1, was found to be highly virulent on tomato. To better understand the relationship of NYS-T1 to other P. syringae strains, and develop a diagnostic assay for aggressive strains of this pathogen, the NYS-T1 genome was sequenced.
It is recommended to cite the accession numbers that are assigned to data submissions, e.g. the GenBank, WGS or SRA accession numbers. If individual BioProjects need to be referenced, state that "The data have been deposited with links to BioProject accession number PRJNA263089 in the NCBI BioProject database (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/bioproject/)."
