The aerobic yeast Pseudohyphozyma (formerly Rhodotorula) bogoriensis is gaining attention as potential feedstock for the production and secretion of high-value compounds (e.g., sophorolipids) with numerous industrial applications. Achieving substantial improvements in biomass/biomaterial productivity through rational genetic and culture manipulations requires a greater understanding of the gene content and genome-wide metabolic pathways. In order to define its metabolic capabilities, we generated a draft genome for P. bogoriensis.
It is recommended to cite the accession numbers that are assigned to data submissions, e.g. the GenBank, WGS or SRA accession numbers. If individual BioProjects need to be referenced, state that "The data have been deposited with links to BioProject accession number PRJNA814273 in the NCBI BioProject database (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/bioproject/)."
