Amplicon-based sequencing was used to examine the bacteria, fungi, and oomycetes associated with soils collected from almond orchards throughout the central valley of California. Later, peach seedlings were grown in these soils in a greenhouse, and amplicon sequencing was used to examine the root-associated microbial community.
It is recommended to cite the accession numbers that are assigned to data submissions, e.g. the GenBank, WGS or SRA accession numbers. If individual BioProjects need to be referenced, state that "The data have been deposited with links to BioProject accession number PRJNA491510 in the NCBI BioProject database (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/bioproject/)."
