Neodiprion pinetum is a host specialist found exclusively on white pine (Pinus strobus) across eastern North America. Study goals include genome-wide comparisons to closely related host generalists that utilize a wider host range. Data users are expected to allow the data producers to publish the first paper with global analyses of the data, including (but not limited to) sequence data, population genetics, signals of selection, and functional annotations.
