Maternally inherited bacterial endosymbionts are common in arthropods, but their distribution and prevalence is poorly characterized in many host taxa, including spiders. This dataset represents the abdominal microbiomes of 23 Mermessus fradeorum (Linyphiidae) spiders representing separate field-collected matrilines from the same population
