Microbial signatures for anti-inflammatory activities of krill oil in Citrobacter rodentium induced colitis mouse model

We attempted to understand the mechanisms through which krill oil, a natural product rich in omega 3 polyunsaturated fatty acids and potent antioxidant astaxanthin, modulates the gut microbiome and metabolome using multi-omics based approaches in in vitro and in vivo colitis models.
