Metagenomic analysis of virus communities across agricultural land uses

dataset
posted on 2024-06-11, 06:32 authored by Institute of Environmental Genomics, University of Oklahoma
Virus were isolated from soils in a native tallgrass prairie and conventionally tilled wheat field in Oklahoma to explore the differences in the virus community structure in relation to land use. Prairies are often converted to croplands which are under intensive management. The goal of the study was to determine if conversion to of natural land to arable soil changed the viral community.
