Virus were isolated from soils in a native tallgrass prairie and conventionally tilled wheat field in Oklahoma to explore the differences in the virus community structure in relation to land use. Prairies are often converted to croplands which are under intensive management. The goal of the study was to determine if conversion to of natural land to arable soil changed the viral community.
It is recommended to cite the accession numbers that are assigned to data submissions, e.g. the GenBank, WGS or SRA accession numbers. If individual BioProjects need to be referenced, state that "The data have been deposited with links to BioProject accession number PRJNA669149 in the NCBI BioProject database (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/bioproject/)."
