A peach tree showing typical symptoms of phony peach disease was identified in Clanton, Alabama, U.S.A. in 2020. A root sample was collected. DNA was extracted and sequenced using next generation sequencing technology (Illumina NovaSeq 6000 PE150) for metagenomic research.
