Global chocolate production is threatened by thread blight disease (TBD), an emerging thread to the source of chocolate, Theobroma cacao. TBD is caused by multiple species in the Marasmiaceae family. The most common species isolated in a recent TBD survey in Ghana was Marasmius tenuissimus. Here, we have sequenced DNA from M. tenuissimus strain MS-2 for genome assembly and annotation.
