This project is aimed to support a USDA NAHLN priority by increasing capacity for disease testing focusedon rapid sequencing of emerging animal and public threats. Here we propose developing and implementing next generation sequencing on clinical samples to detect and obtain whole-genome sequences ofemergent or unknown pathogens affecting public and animal health.
