Impacts of salinity on ectomycorrhizal fungi of mature pine trees

dataset

Pinus densa is the dominant tree in Florida pine rocklands, a critically endangered ecosystem due to fragmentation and urbanization. Salt intrusion from sea level rise is one of the biggest threats to this endangered ecosystem. In this study we surveyed ectomycorrhizal fungi associated with mature pine trees and soil. We used high-throughput sequencing (HTS) to assess baseline fungal communities in the soil, from mature roots.
