Bs6 is a resistance gene that confers non-race-specific resistance against bacterial spot of pepper caused by Xanthomonas euvesicatoria. Identification of the gene is a crucial step towards understanding their mechanism of resistance. To identify the candidate resistance genes, we compare the whole genome sequence of the susceptible cultivar ECW with the resistant NIL ECW60R. Genes with protein-coding polymorphisms in the bs6-mapped region are considered bs6 candidates which will be utilizes for functional validation.
It is recommended to cite the accession numbers that are assigned to data submissions, e.g. the GenBank, WGS or SRA accession numbers. If individual BioProjects need to be referenced, state that "The data have been deposited with links to BioProject accession number PRJNA863893 in the NCBI BioProject database (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/bioproject/)."
