Identification of R2R3-MYB Transcription Factors Involved in Anthocyanin Biosynthesis Regulation in Cornus florida and C. kousa

Mature bracts were collected from three cultivars of C. florida and two cultivars of C. kousa to study regulatory and structural genes involved in phenylpropanoid metabolism by RNA-Seq approach. Total RNA was extracted using 500 mg of frozen tissue per sample, using the GeneAll Ribospin Plant Total RNA Kit (GeneAll Biotechnology, Seoul, Korea), following the manufacturer's instructions.
