Global study of microbial communites in tilipia gut fed sludge-infused diets

dataset
posted on 2024-09-29, 05:23 authored by USDA-ARS
Our goal was to assess the effect of microbial diets in the establishment of gut bacterial communities in fish. Three different microbial diets were prepared based on 1% inclusion of sludge derived from aerobic, methanogenic or denitrifying reactors. Nile tilapia larvae were fed with a control diet or with the sludge-based diets and the effect of diet microbiota on the gut communities was assessed.
