To encourage the use and conservation of the National Plant Germplasm System (NPGS) sorghum collection of the United States, a core set of 370 accessions from Ethiopia was created and genetically characterized. This highly genetically and phenotypically diverse germplasm resource is available to the public for breeding programs and geneticist to effectively improve this crop.
It is recommended to cite the accession numbers that are assigned to data submissions, e.g. the GenBank, WGS or SRA accession numbers. If individual BioProjects need to be referenced, state that "The data have been deposited with links to BioProject accession number PRJNA488736 in the NCBI BioProject database (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/bioproject/)."
