Bacterial isolates were cultured from abiotic surface biofilms at a trout aquaculture facility. Many of these isolates did not reach the genome similarity thresholds required to be classified as a known species. Additionally, all of these isolates displayed the ability to inhibit known fish and human pathogens which makes them relevant for probiotic and antimicrobial sourcing in agricultural and clinical settings.
It is recommended to cite the accession numbers that are assigned to data submissions, e.g. the GenBank, WGS or SRA accession numbers. If individual BioProjects need to be referenced, state that "The data have been deposited with links to BioProject accession number PRJNA835116 in the NCBI BioProject database (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/bioproject/)."
