Genome assembly of the obligate heterozygous red clover Trifolium pratense
dataset

This project sought to use the latest in DNA sequencing technologies to assemble sequence from Trifolium pratense (red clover) into continuous, chromosome-scale scaffolds. The assembly was generated by deep sequencing using PacBio HiFi reads, and scaffolding was accomplished using Omni-C linkage data. Finally, linkage-group scaffolds were created using a combination of EST linkage map data and Oxford Nanopore reads. The integration of many different technologies and orthogonal datasets resulted in the most continuous assembly of red clover yet released.
It is recommended to cite the accession numbers that are assigned to data submissions, e.g. the GenBank, WGS or SRA accession numbers. If individual BioProjects need to be referenced, state that "The data have been deposited with links to BioProject accession number PRJNA754186 in the NCBI BioProject database (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/bioproject/)."
