Pseudomonas aeruginosa, a Gram-negative, aerobic, non-spore forming rod-shaped, motile bacterium is associated with infections in many species including cattle. In the dairy cattle, P. aeruginosa can cause acute and chronic mastitis. Here in this study, we sequenced the genome of a multi-drug resistant P. aeruginosa strain isolated from a chronic case of mastitis in a dairy cow which was nonresponsive to initial antibiotic treatments (pirlimycin and cephapirin).
