A population of rice plants (O. sativa japonica, var. Nipponbare) was mutagenized with ethylmethanesulfonate (EMS) and screened for mutations using exome capture followed by next-generation sequencing and mutation discovery. This study provides a detailed description of the type and frequency of mutations obtained, a list of mutations and their expected effect on gene function.
