This factorial RNAseq study of gene expression in wheat leaves was performed to document responses to infestation with two virulent biotypes (B and H) of greenbug (Schizaphis graminum (Rondani)) with and without carried Cereal Yellow Dwarf Virus (CYDV-RPV) over a 20-day time course. It characterized changes in gene expression related to greenbug feeding, CYDV disease, and their interaction. The wheat (cv. 'Newton') had not been vernalized and therefore did not flower during the experiment, but there was no control for aging in the absence of greenbugs or CYDV over the time course. These plants were the substrate of the greenbugs sampled in SRA bioproject PRJNA981508.
