The goal of this study was to compare the genomes of four isolates of Juglanconis and one isolate of Ophiognomonia clavigignenti-juglandacearum. These fungi are all members of the order Diaporthales and all cause disease on Juglans, a genus that includes walnut and butternut. Comparing these similar pathogens will aid in understanding their biology and how they cause disease.
