Full-Length Transcriptome and Regulation Network in Response to Drought and Salt Stresses in Alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.)

dataset
posted on 2024-06-11, 06:31 authored by USDA-ARS
Three alfalfa genotypes: Wilson (drought resistance), Saranac (drought-sensitive), PI467895 (salt resistance) were used for unraveling the alfalfa response to drought and salt stress through full-length transcriptomes. Twenty-one different RNA libraries were generated from three tissues (leaf, stem, and root) of plants subjected to salt, drought, and control treatments. These libraries were sequenced by Iso-Seq using PacBio and RNA-Seq using Illumina to obtain the comparative transcriptional profiles in response to drought and salt stresses.
