We report the genomes of 12 isolates of a recombinant foot-and-mouth disease virus strain from Vietnam. The recombinant strain has the capsid region from an A/Sea-97 strain and the remaining genome belongs to an O/ME-SA/PanAsia strain. The isolates were obtained from two outbreak samples collected in June 2017 and 10 probang samples collected between September 2017 and June 2019 from 3 provinces.
