4 Pityopsis ruthii accessions maintained at University of Tennessee were sampled. Petals were removed, so that only involucres were isolated from.Total RNA was isolated using RiboSpin kit (GeneAll, Korea), checked using BioAnalyzer, and sent to GeneWiz for HiSeq RNA (Illumina 2x 150bp PE). One P. ruthii sample did not meet their reqs, so we ended up with 2-13, 2-15, 2-16 for downstream analyses.
It is recommended to cite the accession numbers that are assigned to data submissions, e.g. the GenBank, WGS or SRA accession numbers. If individual BioProjects need to be referenced, state that "The data have been deposited with links to BioProject accession number PRJNA778727 in the NCBI BioProject database (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/bioproject/)."
