Flower Anatomy and Apple Variety Effects on the Apple Blossom Microbiome

This study describes the use of peptide nucleic acid clamps to increase the recovery of bacterial sequences from plant-associated tissues, specifically apple blossoms. Furthermore, the influence of flower anatomy and apple variety on the structure of the microbiome is also described.
