Fecal bacterial composition from 2 different weight classes of finishing barrows

dataset
posted on 2024-06-11, 07:04 authored by South Dakota State University
Light (< 275 lbs) and heavy (> 305 lbs) barrows were selected from a research herd of approximately 1200 pigs that were finished under conditions similar to those of a commercial herd. Microbial genomic data was extracted using a bead beating plus column method and sequence data was generated from amplicons that targeted the V1-V3 region of the 16S rRNA.
