Historical data from the USDA Germplasm Resource Information Network was used for an extreme phenotype genome wide association study of resistance to Podosphaera xanthii race 2W in watermelon. Genomic DNA from three bulks (resistant, susceptible and random) was submitted for whole genome resequencing producing 150-bp paired-end reads with a minimum of 30X genomic coverage.
It is recommended to cite the accession numbers that are assigned to data submissions, e.g. the GenBank, WGS or SRA accession numbers. If individual BioProjects need to be referenced, state that "The data have been deposited with links to BioProject accession number PRJNA1197509 in the NCBI BioProject database (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/bioproject/)."
